On behalf of a leading international real estate investor and manager with a substantial logistics and commercial property portfolio across Western Europe, we are looking for an experienced Manager Technical Management Europe. Our client is known for its professional and sustainability-driven approach to property management, and this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the technical and operational management of a diverse European portfolio from its Amsterdam office.
In this role, you are responsible for the operational, financial and strategic management of the Western European property portfolio, ensuring strong asset performance, effective service delivery and successful execution of business objectives. You lead property management activities across the portfolio, working closely with Asset Management and Technical Services colleagues, and you act as the primary point of contact for tenants, consultants, service providers and senior management.
Key responsibilities:
• Own the annual OPEX and CAPEX planning process, supporting budgeting, forecasting and cost control across the portfolio.
• Oversee major CAPEX projects, technical initiatives and compliance programmes.
• Manage outsourced property managers and key service providers, ensuring contractual compliance and continuous improvement.
• Support the delivery of ESG initiatives and energy performance objectives, and provide oversight of incidents, insurance matters, audits and operational risk.
• Lead, develop and mentor the Property Management team.
What we are looking for:
• A degree in Building, Real Estate, Facilities Management, or a related engineering discipline, combined with at least 10 years of relevant experience across all phases of property management.
• Sound knowledge of M&E systems, building services and ESG strategies within the real estate industry.
• Strong leadership, planning, communication and project management skills, including experience with budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience in logistics and commercial/office property, ideally combined with multi-country property management leadership.
• Fluency in Dutch and English is required; an additional language is a plus.
